Digital technologies hold unmistakable potential for the real estate industry. The study assigns digital transformation a "key role" for the future of the industry. By simplifying and automating business processes, an increased level of efficiency can be achieved to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. The areas of property management and energy services in particular showed the most significant increase in the study compared to the previous year. At 17% each, the greatest digitization potential is seen here. A full 96% of respondents stated that digital technologies and applications and the data they generate and analyze (95%) are essential for professional ESG management.
