A personal portrait of ROCKETHOME CEO Yüksel Sirmasac - about vision, innovation and the path to smarter, more efficient real estate solutions.
Just do it: How vision and drive are changing the real estate world
"A bit like Daniel Gyro Gearloose - only without the flying bathtub." This is how journalist T. Gerald Makuzwa describes the founding personality behind ROCKETHOME in a recent portrait with our CEO. And indeed, anyone who talks to Yüksel Sirmasac about digitalization, energy efficiency and innovation in the real estate industry quickly realizes that this is someone who wants to set standards with passion and technical depth.

In an in-depth interview for the renowned industry magazine Immobilienwirtschaft, we not only talked about entrepreneurial milestones, but also about personal experiences that paved the way for the founding of ROCKETHOME. The result is an open, reflective text with a clear view of the big picture: How can we make our experience of real estate smarter, more cost-effective and more sustainable?
The article shows: The digitalization of the real estate industry is not simply a technical issue - it is a question of attitude and creative will. It is about rethinking the status quo, recognizing opportunities and boldly implementing them. Or as Yüksel Sirma puts it: Just do it.
A first insight
He came, stayed and is now in the best place he could be. When he talks about his life, there are no regrets or burdens. On the contrary: growing up as an integrated child was "perfect" and "the best situation" imaginable. He is convinced that many entrepreneurs have an immigrant background and are more willing to take risks. Studies prove him right. You only have to look at the USA: The most prominent example of this is probably Steve Jobs. Without comparing himself to Jobs, he also describes himself as a "tech nerd". However, attributing his entrepreneurial spirit to his origins alone would be too simple - or not simple enough? "I just had a gene for it." There it is again: the direct and quick route to a solution. In fact, he lived his entrepreneurial spirit from an early age - with a playful ease that still accompanies him today. Not driven by doggedness or defiant ambition, but enthusiastic about the cause itself and the freedom to develop new ideas. "A bit like Daniel Gyro Gearloose," he adds. He founded his first company after graduating. But its roots go back to his childhood. At the age of ten, he was already transporting everything that wasn't nailed down in the basement of his parents' house to the flea market: "There I tried to explain to adults why they should buy it." So he was already enterprising as a child - his first jobs followed in his teens and his pocket money soon became overflowing. "That was a matter of course for me," he says with a shrug.
